I bought my iPhone 7 - 32 GB exactly 2 months ago. Since then I have had about 10 random frozen time. What I mean by frozen time is that regardless of the screen is on or off, no place on screen is responsive and both home button and power button doesn't work (home button vibrates when pressed but doesn't do its job). If the screen is off, it stays off, if it is on it stays on for about a minute and then comes back on. It happened on different apps and times. Example 1: home screen, no apps running. Example 2: whatsapp while writing a message. Example 3: camera taking photos.
I have deleted all data and set up as a new iPhone 2 times. It didn't help. I suspect my device was defect at purchase. I have owned and used an iPhone 5 for 4 years and I have had no frozen time, ever. Regarding free space, I always have at least 18-20 GB free space. I cut and paste photos to PC almost every two weeks. Also almost no apps are installed. I like my iPhone clean with minimum apps and photos on it but still I am the one who got those frozen times...
Also another extremely annoying thing is, when I am on Twitter, Twitter stops loading tweet replies. But once I close the app and re-run it immediately opens everything. I have deleted and reinstalled Twitter at least 5 times. Again, no help...
As a result of these events I've looked into usage data list and only thing I see is too many jetsamevent on a single day. In a course of 5 hours, there is 9 of them. My question is what should I do? Shall I set up as a new iPhone or do this phone has some hardware fault? I have never dropped it or ever got any water on it. Its like brand new but I really do suspect something is wrong inside. A faulty A10 chip maybe? Is it possible to be unlucky like this? Or is it not possible to have a defect device?
