Q: XP download

When trying to download Itunes my computer tells me I need to be running XP - which I am but my computer isn't recognising it at the point of download? I have had to set my laptop back to factory settings this evening and so now would like to reinstall Itunes. Thanks in advance.

Hey there misscrocks,

It sounds like you had downloaded the iTunes installer but its not installing for some reason. First get the most up to date file from the official iTunes site here:

Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes Now

If that doesnt install correctly or still gives you the error about your operating system, I would next recommend you use the troubleshooting information in the following article named:
