I installed an update of adobe flash player which in its terms said it would download the yahoo toolbar/homepage, I wasn't aware of this until after, I should have checked. But I have removed yahoo from the preferences and have made google my homepage again, yet when I type something into the search bar it is redirected to yahoo, I have looked for all ways to remove it and really need help!

2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and relaunch Safari to test .
Turn those on one by one and test.
3. Safari > Preferences > Search > Search Engine :
Select your preferred search engine.
4. Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage:
Set your Homepage.
Ah brilliant, thank you so much! The step by step guide was superb, I was fretting for my life there! Bit of OCD on things like this and I needed to get it sorted. Much appreciated! I won't be doing that again!
