    Pacifist

    https://www.charlessoft.com/

allows you to extract individual files from from an OSX installer so that you may be able to fix a proplem for just replace a file rather that reinstalling the entire OSX. It seems to legit with no malware included

I would just reinstall Yosemite. No need for any other apps

Pacifist is a developer-type tool for re-Installing specific parts of Mac OS X when you know EXACTLY what you want to re-Install.

As lllaass says, for general purposes of re-Installing, it is best to simply re-Install everything using regular Apple tools for doing so. The software to do this is already on your Mac. If you install the same version OVER what you have in place now, it will simply fix anything that has problems, and does not disturb anything else PROVIDED your Mac does not have underlying issues.

Two prudent steps to use before re-Install are to make sure you have a current Backup, and run Disk Utility (Repair Disk) or restart in Safe Mode (hold down the Shift key as you start up) which does the (Repair Disk) as it starts up.
