Q: cpu temperature imac 5K?

I have the 4GHz i7, 32 GB 1600 MHzUsing the istat menus, I noticed my CPU temp and fan speed were way up there (see screenshot below. This was with almost nothing running (Chrome, email only).

I reset the SMC. The second sreeen shot shows the new temps.

Are the new temps ok or are they still too high?

Next time you notice something like that, if there is a next time, take a look at Activity Monitor How to use Activity Monitor - Apple Support to see if there is a process that's running wikd causing those high temps. Is there a reason you need Chrome? If you need an alternate browser you might try Firefox. Chrome has had some issues for some users lately.
The temps in the second screen shot look fine.
