I have a Power PC G4 running OS 10.5.8 and have received an HP 1512 printer as a gift. The installation disk gives a message that the printer can’t be installed on this computer. Is there a driver that would allow the G4 to control this printer?

But I'd try another installed hp driver for a close model...

I downloaded v1.1.1. Thinking D1500 series would work, I tried it. No joy. I went down the list from there and discovered D2500 solved the print problem. This driver doesn't support scanning to memory but thats not a problem for me. The printer prints well and makes monochrome or color copies. Thanks for your help. PFL
