Q: Need to change my kids age for the iCloud account. Is there really no way?

Hi, by mistake, I put the wrong age for my kid. Is there really no way to change, or delete it?

Thanks

Michael

PS, I realize there are several more with the same problem...

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

    Hey Airusertoo,

The birthdate for a child's Apple ID account can not be changed. See this article -

Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support

    Specifically -

Enter your child's birthday and tap Next. The birthday for a child's account can't be changed after the account is created. Be sure to enter the correct date.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Be well,

    Hi Brett

    Thanks for your replay!

So, apparently, I am not the only one with the issue. There must be a solution. At the end, it is just software, that has to be altered...

I mixed the birth year from my other kid with the one, I aded to family share. Can I cancel her account, or do something similar? I don't want to just create a new on, and having this one lingering around.

    Again, thanks for your repaly.

    Mike

I bit the bullet and started new accounts for them - most of the original purchases were made under my apple id anyway, so in theory they can access those purchases again as long as they are associated in my family sharing

Thanks, Fortythieves. I guess, I will end up doing the same.
