if i have a Zagg screen protector on it already, will it have to be removed in order to put on the lifeproof case

I recently bought a Lifeproof Fre case fro my iPhone 5S, and something doesn't seem right with my ZAGG glass-tempered screen protector that is suppose to be case friendly. if anyone has advice please respond!

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2, lifeproof, ZAGG

Having both a Lifeproof case and a tempered glass screen protector puts two layers between you and the screen. Remove the screen protector. You don't need it with the case. By "case friendly" they mean it will work with most cases. They don't mean it will work with cases that have their own screen protection.
