Apple Pay and Provisioning

I'm a bit confused, as I notice in my bank account there are multiple entries for visa provisioning. Even on days that I didn't use Apple Pay. I thought Apple Pay only provisioned your bank card once.

Any idea why provisioning comes up multiple times?

Hi john991,

do you see $0 provisioning transactions that fall off your statement in a day or two? Is that what you are referring to? Visa does provision the token only once and you should not see provisioning after your card is ready to use in Apple Pay.

Additional provisioning can occur if you are trying to add the same card to another device. So this is why this would be concerning to me- is there someone else out there with your card number trying to provision a token on another device? I would recommend calling your bank, as they should shed more light on this and even tell you device IDs and IPs for which provisioning is happening.

Actually, I figured out mine did it multiple times because I got a new replacement iPhone, so after restoring my new one from back up, my Apple Pay had a to be redone as well a second on my watch. So that's probably what it was. I've never seen this until that day that I did it.
