Track armed but no audio signal in channl strip

Issue: Track armed but no audio signal in channel strip

I have been recording in this project for a couple days with no issues, and today here is the problem:

-Logic track is armed to record audio

-The track's input is set to Mic/1 corresponding to the correct vocal mic from the interface (Apollo Quad)

-The computer is "seeing' the audio interface, I have rebooted both computer and interface numerous times

--Audio preferences in Logic checked and sees the Apollo.

--the mic input levels are registering nicely on the Apollo audio interface, but not on the channel strip, nothing.....no signal coming in.

--Playback of all tracks are fine

--Recording midi instruments is fine, works like it should

Here's what I have done so far to try to solve it:

-Unplugged and replugged in the fire wire from the Apollo to the Mac to make sure the connection good (and rebooted)

-Unlocked all tracks and even disabled the locking function in the "configure track header"

-I have tried different input channels from the Apollo and the ADAT, (Opto 8) into the Logic channel strip, still no signal levels regardless which number input I choose..

- Made sure this is an audio track and not a midi track. Audio tracks I recorded on yesterday without a problem could not be recorded on today

--Copied the project and tried to record audio with the copy of the project, no luck.

--Opened a brand new project and created just one audio track to see if i could record, still not audio signal on the channel strip.

-- I tried recording anyway to see if just the metering light was malfunctioning but no sound recorded.

I inserted a lot of plug ins today getting ready to mix, but disabled most while trying to solve this issue....I'm stumped!

Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks.

First thing I would do is load the test project with one test audio track, go to preferences/audio and select Built-In audio as the Input and Output, hit Apply, now reselect the setup you've been using.

If the two interfaces are not sync locked this can happen, re: no recording. Perhaps you haven't turned the interfaces in an order that does not allow them to lock. Shut every thing off, turn on the Opto 8, turn on the Quad, boot the computer.
