Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the screen flashes white. Do you get an alert or notification when this happens? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

Dec 30, 2014 1:35 PM in response to mario49by smsfan3,I found out that my computer isn't occasionally flashing white, but actually does it when I receive a notification, like something saying Ok or Cancel. It also happens when I try to delete something, in iMovie for example, using Command + X when it cannot be deleted. I do not get that normal "No" beep sound when in these situations, where I should, but do get a screen flash.

After reviewing your post, it sounds like an Accessibilty feature. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Dec 30, 2014 8:19 PM in response to mario49by smsfan3,The article link won't load on my computer, but I took a look at the Accessibility preferences and the option to have the screen flash when an alert sound occurs is not checked. I checked it and unchecked it just to be sure it was off. The Test Screen Flash button comes up with the same flash I've been getting. I'll go back to this conversation just in case this isn't solved, but thanks for letting me know it was an Accessibility feature.
