Ipod touch 2nd gen 32gb

Activation required message and Itunes will recognize that the device is trying to connect but will also display an Unknown error message (0XE8000084) and sometimes the same Unknown error with the last two digits being 2D. Like so (0XE800002D) please help me fix this. The Ipod was factory restored a while ago.
