why is my iMessage being sent from my email?
When I am sending iMessages it is sending from my email account. How do I get it to send from my phone number?
Thanks

Check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive look to see if your phone is there checked marked.
It's check marked but when I go into send&receive messages, it won't show that I can send iMessages it is only showing that I can receive them from others. When I just tried to send an iMessage it continues to say not delivered
Try turning off iMessages and turn it back on, good article here also iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
It didn't work.. any other suggestions?
You followed the whole article already still not working? I'd get in contact with Applecare for further help.
correct. It for some reason deleted the option where the messages are being sent from therefore nothing will send via iMessage anymore
sorry the option that says "start new conversations from" is no longer available
Well.. you could always try Settings > Reset > Reset all settings or even a restore on phone.. but give apple a call see what they say.

'Start new Conversations from' is only available if you have more than one option available for 'You can be reached at iMessage at'.
What is displayed and/or check marked under 'You can be reached at iMessage at'?
This fixed my issue! Thanks
