Is there anything different about the syncing and non-syncing ones?
Do you have enough storage space on the IPod to sync all of them?

I have a similar problem with my phone and my answers would be:
1) The Nonsyncing ones play on the computer just fine
2) No, in fact some of my albums bought on iTunes, sync about 50% of the songs and the rest of the songs don't sync
3) No, plenty of space on my phone.
If I select my phone in iTunes 12, click on On my Device->Music, the songs that don't copy show up ghosted with a dotted circle, thats my only clue that itunes knows its not putting them on there, but noone seems to want to share what the ghosted files with a dotted circle means.
