wifi not working on iPhone 6 plus

I just got a iPhone 6 plus and the wifi will not detect wifi hotspots. I also bought a iPhone 6 for my son at the same time and his wifi works just fine. I have done restarts, manually configure wifi, factory reset and nothing works. I will search but that's it. Do I have a bad phone?
