Q: Can't restore photos to new ipad

Recently I bought an ipad air as well as an iphone 6. Backed up everything on my old iphone 4s before sending it back for credit. Now I have tried to restore the back up to my ipad, and all apps were restored but photos were not. I've always backed up photos regularly and removed them from my phone to save space. Now I find I can't access them on my pc and I can't seem to restore them to my ipad either. I really have no idea what else to do. I really want this photos and would greatly appreciate any help with this. .

    Where did you backup the photos to?

     

    If you have been backing up your iPhone to iCloud or iTunes, deleting photos, taking more photos, backing up, deleting photos, etc. then there may well be no or very few photos in your most recent backup. When you delete photos from your iPhone they will not be present in the next backup. A backup reflects the current state of the iPhone when the backup is taken. Backups are not archives.

     

    if you were backing up to your PC why can't you access the photos there?
