Q: Have family sharing but can't download purchased music from on family member to another

My husband & I set up Home sharing and family sharing yesterday.  My husband has been trying to download prior music purchases made by me.  We can not seem to find any way to do this.  There is no download button or anything that says "add to" in either of our libraries.  Can anyone tell us what we are doing wrong and how to correct the problem?  Do we both need to have iCloud drive enabled?  Thanks

    Hello there, Kaye.

It sounds like you're not seeing purchased content in iTunes after turning on Family Sharing. The following Knowledge Base article provides the steps on how to find content on your Mac:

Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing - Apple Support

    Download content from family members

After you join a family, you can view and download items from each family member’s purchase history, and enjoy them on your own devices. Music, movies, TV shows, and books can be downloaded to up to 10 of your devices, five of which can be computers. Apps can be downloaded to any devices that you own or control.

Use these steps to view and download your family member's content.

    Mac with OS X Yosemite

    1. Open the iTunes, iBooks, or Mac App Store and go to the Purchased page.
    2. Select a family member's name to view their content.
    3. Download or play the items that you want.

If you find you still aren't seeing purchases, the following article provides a checklist of steps to troubleshoot further:

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

    Cheers,

    Pedro.
