I just purchased a new windows 8.1 computer and want to share music off my desk mac, which we have always done with a Vista computer. I can't get the windows itunes to communicate with apple store or not able to authorize. Any suggestions and what are the proxie settings on a laptop 8.1? I can get internet for web, skype, netflex, etc.

Problem solved, but not sure why! thanks to everyone that provide info. The steps I took, but not sure why it worked this time: Reloaded Windows 8.1, added port 3689 to McAfee, loaded itunes using Internet Explorer, it worked. I used IE this time since itunes uses their settings, not sure if it made a difference instead of FireFox, but who cares!
Forgot I had to say I changed 2 of the 3 proxie settings to be able to connect to the internet.
