Why is it you only provide advise on unlocking and not ACTIVATION of new iphones ??

Hi and good day to you all !

I have an outstanding issue here with a BRAND NEW iPhone 6 plus which I bought more than a month ago through e-bay USA, I was not aware that this

iPhone 6 plus was tied to AT&T network service provider in the US (by the way, I am from Singapore, in the Asia)

I have tried so hard to sought help from Apple, AT&T and even some website on how to ACTIVATE (not UNLOCK) this iPhone 6 plus but still not able to do it.

Last reply that I received from AT&T US (even though I explained clearly that I needed this iPhone 6 plus to be ACTIVATED) are as follows :-

Congratulations! Here are your unlock instructions:

1. Open iTunes on you Mac or PC and verify that you have internet connectivity.

2. Ensure the original SIM card that came with this device is inserted in you iPhone.

3. Connect your iPhone using the dock connector to USB cable that came with your iPhone

4. Backup and restore your iPhone using iTunes. For information on backup and restore, please visit http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

5. After restoring, your iPhone will be unlocked.

Please advise what should I do to get this iPhone 6 plus to be ACTIVATED and use in Singapore ??

Any advise would be highly appreciated !!

Thank you !

Warm regards

Steven

eBay is not an authorized seller of iPhones, and the iPhone you bought is not

new but used. Most likely it is Activation Locked to the original owner's account.

Contact the seller to have him do the following:

Prepare your device to sell or give away

If the seller refuses or says he does not know the required information, either

get a refund from the seller or institute a claim with eBay as the iPhone is useless.

You can check the status of Activation Lock here:

There is no workaround for Activation Lock.
