Audio default on pair of 27 LEDs

I have a pair of 27 LEDs. No matter which port I use for which monitor and no matter which monitor is set to display the menu bar, the default audio routing on restarting always goes to the second monitor, never the monitor with the menu bar. The second monitor always appears first in the audio out list of the Sound control panel. This means that if I ever have to restart, I have to manually change the audio to the primary monitor.

The logic of the default is backwards. Is there some way to change this?
