Airport Extreme IPv6 Relay Error?

Hmmm.. not many ISP are running IPv6 on adsl connection..

Perhaps tell us what ISP and what kind of broadband service you have.. ??

Is it IPv6 updated? Does the ISP have instructions about IPv6 setup as it is far more tricky to get working than IPv4?

Did the setup work as long as the modem was also working as router? What modem is it, make and model?

Sometimes my experience is the apple routers cannot handle PPPoE correctly due to lack of controls.. ie your ISP may need PAP instead of CHAP authentication.. where do you set that in a AE when it has no controls.. these things are more complex than apple allows for.

What model AE is it? What firmware is it running?

How is it setup for IPv6?

This is important as there are loads of issues in IPv6 associated with some earlier firmware. (and some later ones.. on early airports if that makes sense).

Your internet modem should also do router duties..

So either one of two options.. go back to the standard setup of the modem so it is router for the network.. and simply bridge the AE and leave it working as your wireless network and backup for computers etc.

There is nothing wrong with this setup.. and is much easier.

Or

Ignore the warning.. if the internet is actually working then the warning is irrelevant. Forget it and power on using the AE... just set the problem setting in the airport utility to ignore.

I thought it was preventing you from getting internet.
