Q: Why does my iPhone 4 shut down by itself?
My iPhone 4 was on IOS 6.1.3 and I've noticed that it started shutting down the day after Christmas. It would shut down an when I clicked the power button, the phone showed a cord and a red dead battery. My phone has charge in it. I (FINALLY) updated to IOS 7.1.2. because I thought it needed an update. Today, my phone shut down once. It seems as if it shuts down when it's not charging.
I've done research. Some says to take iCloud off of my iPhone, but if I delete iCloud my photos and information will be deleted (Am I correct)? Also, I've noticed that without WiFi downloading (1) app takes a very long time. I can't download anything unless I am in an WiFi location.
My iPhone is not under warranty anymore. I can't believe I've had the 4 for a year and 2 months now and it's now messing up after the warranty is gone. Could this mean I will need to change my battery (myself)? I hope I don't have a virus. Do I need to restore my iPhone 4 using iTunes? Do I need to let my battery die all the way before I recharge my iPhone?
What's wrong with my iPhone? Any help will be appreciated and thanks a lot.
