Question

itunes 12.0.1.26 hangs with a CD or connecting iphone5

I have updated to iTunes 12.0.1.26 for windows 64bit and also Windows 7 32bit. 2 different computers.

since the upgrade I can not longer copy CD to my music library. iTunes just hangs.

it also hangs when I connect my iPhone 5 and my ipad.I need to use task manager to stop iTunes.

I have uninstall iTunes removed al the files and reinstalled it. the same problem.

other family have also said they have the same problem now with this update. so most of my friends have not updated.

can you please assist.

Hey netta,

Good troubleshooting so far. Have you tried some of the additional troubleshooting in the first article below? It walks you through starting up in Safe Mode as well as testing to see if it still freezes on you in a different user on your computer. Another question I have is when you removed iTunes, did you remove it and other software as indicated in the second article because that can make the difference on if removing and reinstall will work.
