I need to replace my A1280 battery on macbook unibody late 2008

I have a late autumn 2008 unibody macbook. The battery that came with it, A1280, has just started to begin to fail now. I am now receiving the "Condition: Replace Soon" alert for this battery. Does apple still sell this battery? If not, what is a reliable battery that I can use for my macbook. Hopefully one that won't explode/leak/ruin my macbook.
