as the title depicts it, I was searching for answers on how to enable my ipad again, but all the answers suggested i have to reset it due to my passcode being lost. But i never lost my passcode, i know what it is, so my question is how to enable my ipad again without resetting? this ipad holds very important documents and i never backed them up to the icloud.

If it's showing the disabled screen then it's too late to copy any content off it or take a backup (you haven't been backing up to your computer's iTunes either ?) - you can try a soft-reset but you will probably get the same disabled screen : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appeara), after which the Apple logo should appear and it will reboot.

No, with it being disabled it's too late to take a backup, it will have to be reset back to factory defaults.
You could try doing a search for programs that claim to be able to copy content from a reset/disabled device - I haven't tried any so I can't suggest any, and I don't know if any work with documents in apps.
