Q: Airplay loses connection after pausing music

Hi,

Ever since I am using OS X Yosemite I am experiencing a problem with airplay.

I can connect my Mac to my Apple TV trough airplay, but it takes about 10 seconds before it actually starts to play my music. As soon as I pause my song, or there is no programme what generates any sound, the airplay connection is lost. As soon as I start playing music again, it takes 10 seconds again to actually generate sound again.

All my devices are updated to the latest version of the OS.

Can anyone help me solving this problem?

Jason, the reason Robin didn't reply to your post could be that it had little chance of helping him. I have been experiencing dropped AirPlay connections after briefly pausing music for WAY too long now. Im still looking for an answer.
