Q: Unable to verify Hotmail account information
I have my first iPad and am working through the new user setup experience. I am trying to add my Hotmail account. I go to Settings/Mail Contacts and Calendar/Add Account and select the option for Outlook.com. I enter my email and password and it tells me unable to verify.
Troubleshooting steps tried:
- Reset device and deleted account. I then re-entered and same error.
- Went into my Hotmail account to validate my password and had the right one.
- Reset my password on my Hotmail account, reset my iPad, deleted email, and tried to read again. Same error.
- My Apple ID is also my Hotmail account so I reset the Apple ID password to match my Hotmail password, reset iPad again, deleted account, re-added and same error.
Anyone else have this issue? Suggestions for troubleshooting? My Hotmail account is my main email and really don't want to use another email. I have verified my Apple ID email and it is working and I am getting emails.
