Checking this support document, About AirPrint - Apple Support it does not list the c140 as an AirPrint compatible printer.

Check with your Samsung support. I believe they have an app in the App Store that can help.

Search the App Store for an app called "Samsung Mobile Print". Seems as if the C140x is indeed supported.

IIs there any other way I can print without getting the mobile app.

I Thought that one could just download the printer update to make compatible.

No....you either need an AirPrint enabled printer (which you don't have) or an App from the App Store, which will provide some printing abilities.

That's precisely why they have the app available...the printer does not natively support AirPrint so Samsung provides the app to allow printing, even in the absence of AirPrint on the printer itself.
