Furious about being dumped from Bluetooth for the 5th time

My 2013 Malibu is being serviced for the 5th incidence of losing Bluetooth connection in the past , and reconnection requires a directive from GM. Resets/restarts won't work. The dealership blames it on iPhone updates, but the last one, ios 8.1.2, worked for a week, and then dumped me off. Technicians want to replace the radio, but GM won't OK it. Is this a GM or an Apple problem? VERY frustrating, time consuming, and unacceptable. Advice???
