When i Call someone my number shows as unknown.

Hey can someone please help me? I recently called my grandmother's house phone and there was an automated message saying "The party you have called does not accept calls from unknown numbers." It confused me because my number was saved in their phone. So I called her cellphone and she said that my number came up as unknown kind of like it does when you dial *67. I googled my problem and it said settings>phone>Call ID. I looked and my phone does not have anything in the settings to do with "Caller Id". I have a 4S and I have updated about 1 1/2 months ago to IOS 8.1.2. When I go to my phone settings, it has my phone number and it is correct. But for some reason when I call anyone, even when im a contact in their phone, my number comes up as "unknown".

I looked and my phone does not have anything in the settings to do with "Caller Id". What the OP said.

contact your cell phone provider and see if they can help resolve the issue.

As stated by Meg above, you will not see the option to enable/disable Caller ID. You will need to contact Verizon to determine if you account is properly provisioned.
