I just do not understand photo stream and iPhoto.

Is there a good resource to help me understand how the iPhone and iPhoto work together? I understand my Macs pretty well but I just cannot get my head wrapped around the photo stream concept. I know when I take a photo it uploads to photo stream but do I have to put that photo in an album? Do I take it out of photo stream? I just don't get it. Please help me understand. I need iPhoto for Dummies.

Cheers.

MyPhotoStream is very simple - ever photos added to is can be viewed or downloaded by all subscribers - the photos stay available in iCloud for 30 days (or until 100 photos are loaded - which ever comes first) - if you want them permanently on any device (except the vice that originated the photos) then yu must import it - with iphoto for the Mac you either right click on the photos you want imported and select import or you set the iphoto reference to automatically import al new photos
