Beard caught problem.

I am facing problems in my iphone 6. My beard is getting caught in the seam between the front glass and aluminum enclosure. Also when my phone connected with charger I'm feeling current flow of two sides of my phone when I touch there using my hand. What should I do?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.1

Well, one side of any power line is "neutral" and is grounded at the point of entry of the power line. The Apple adapter plugs in either way, and thus is grounded, but through the outlet. The DC 5 volt output is completely isolated from the input (that's required by UL code on any 2 wire device). However, there can be a small difference in voltage between neutral and ground as you get further from the point of entry (called a parasitic EMF), and, as it is AC, it can leak across the adapter. This is just barely enough to feel, and is not dangerous.

The beard problem isn't as easy to solve. I deal with it by not holding the phone tight against my face, and most of the time by using a BlueTooth "ear roach."

It seems unlikely to me the beard issue will be resolved (manufactured items have seams, seams collect fine hairs). Others have complained about catching hairs on seams on iOS devices too.

Put it in a case to reduce the chance of catching the seams.

Feeling 'current flow' either suggests you are imagining it or the device is malfunctioning. Depending on your country the charger may be grounded (UK 3 pin connectors have a separate earth, US one do not).

The 'nail polish smell' also seems weird, new devices have a particular smell due to the plastics that have been sealed up during shipping. I don't believe they are harmful.

Are you looking for excuses to return this iPhone? You seem to be jumping from one weird issue to another. Your consumer rights probably allow you to return it no questions asked for a limited period after purchase (check your local consumer rights) this period may be 14 days. The method of purchase can also give you additional rights (e.g. credit cards can give you a 'cooling off period').

Get in touch with Apple & start a case if you think these are important issues to you. At the very least take the charger & phone to an Apple store to see if it behaves the same as ones on display.
