Q: iMessage is not responding (no service message appears) in Contacts... how do I restore iMessage?

I am attempting to share a contact with someone ...however I get a "no service" message when I try to send it from my contacts. I am currently using Yosemite on my m... how do I reactivate this feature?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
