Downloading Logic Pro X

I have just purchased a new Mac Book Pro, and am currently a Logic 9 user. Being that there is no upgrade version of Logic X, should I load 9 into my new Mac Book first, then download X, or start fresh with the Logic X download.

I realize this may be a silly question, however, just want to be sure.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Logic Pro 9 and X is just a different story.
You can install your Logic Pro 9 on you MacBookPro, and you can purchase Logic Pro X from Apple Appstore when you need/want to.
You can install and run both versions on a same computer.
