HI I have a problem, I changed from Ipad 2 to ipad mini 2 at Christmas but can't get my verification code for text messaging forwarding. It worked fine on my iPad 2 but now won't work on my iPad mini. What could be the problem and how can I rectify it? im also on the latest version of iOS.

Try sigining out of Messages in Settings>Messages>Off. Then turn it on again and try again. When I set it up I couldnt find the code either, but when I launched the Messages app it appeared in there. Apple is as clear as mud in this kb article as to where the code will appear on the device.
Just to be sur, double check.

That's the thing I don't get a code on my iPad only one for my MacBook Pro retina.
I Went nuts trying to find the code on my devices. It took me about 30 minutes to find them, and I tried over and over again, look at this thread taht is posted at the bottom of this page.

Perhaps if you sign out of iCloud, your Apple ID and then turn Messages off, restart the iPad and start all over again, you can get it to work. LIke I said, reading the kb article gives no indication of exactly where the code will appear.
Well rather embarrassingly I got it sorted myself while with an apple genius. However the embarrassing part was that when I enabled text message forwarding on my iPhone for my iPad mini the code came up on my iPad mini straight away! 😮😐
I Thought I had posted this but I cannot find. I signed out and then back in, my iphone's number showed up in both send and receive. I tried the button again and a code popped upon my iPad screen. i entered it and my iPad works fine.
