Apple Pay not working on Apple Store app

When buying a new MacBook Air, Apple Pay failed to work on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.2. Kept rejecting due to address issues. I used the same card & address with a manual credit card transaction, no problem. i can't seem to delete an auto filled address that Apple put on my Pay profile, but I did add the correct one & made sure it was being used before trying Apple Pay. Still, no luck. Anyone else having Apple Pay issues with the Apple store app (or any other app with embedded Apple pay function?)

Other OS, Apple TV

You are talking about the Apple Store app (not brick and mortar store) using your iPhone, correct?

The Apple Store app requires your Apple ID and password. You have a credit card associated with this Apple ID and password. You can see all this in the Apple Store app by clicking "Account" at the bottom, then "Account Settings." This is what will be used for your purchases in the Apple Store app.

Apple Pay does not work with the Apple Store app. It is simply not needed ... superfluous.

Apple Pay does work with the Apple Store app. even if you have a credit card on file, using Apple Pay keeps the real credit card number hidden and uses the secure generated number. That way, if Apple's payment servers are ever hacked, those that purchased using Apple Pay within the app would have no fear of their true credit card number being compromised.
