Photo storage and iCloud Backup

I am using an iPhone 5 and have an issue related to my iCloud storage.


My phone currently has 3.6Gb of 'photos camera', yet when i try back up to the iCloud, it says i have 126MB available on iCloud, but my next back-up requires 7.2Gb, of which 6.7Gb is the Photo Library.


Can anyone tell me why this is the case, as it won't allow me to back up my device to the cloud.


I have one shared photo stream and no other devices on iCloud back up.

iPhone 5, iOS 8.1.1

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are describing or where you seeing the 3.6Gb total. The photo library on your iPhone will be a combination of any photos you have taken/saved to your iPhone directly (your Camera Roll), along with any photos or albums you have synced from your computer.
