Hi AleManu:
Since the update of FCPX 10.0.1 XAVC FILES CAN BE IMPORTED NATIVELY without any plug in, conversions or other help. I do it all the time.
Thanks,
AppleLou
Thx for your post, but did you try the XAVC S into FCPX ? Any problem?
I have imported XAVC-S (4k) from my Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder (SD card) into FCP X with no problems. You can edit XAVC-S in FCP X natively. If your going to color correct the footage, it is best to optimize the video within FCP X. (I also use poxy video (4K) in FCP X to edit. (makes life easier) Compressor 4 won't open XAVC-S, Motion 5 will...)
