How do I sync my non-iBook Store books from my first iPad to another iPad?

Okay. So, I have downloaded 791 non-iBookStore books into my iBooks into my new iPad. I recently bought another iPad mini and I want to transfer all 791

iBooks into my iPad mini. I used the iCloud bacup method and it could not work. My books could not be downloaded into the iPad mini. They were there and it is as if the books got stuck downloading. Then in a sudden, the books just dissapear, leaving the complimentary books from iTunes. My eBooks are mostly in ePub format. Is there any way of transfering all the books to my current device? Via iTunes? Exactly how? Or other means? Thanks 🙂

iPad Mini, iOS 7.1.2

For books that weren't bought from the iBookstore you will need to go via your computer's iTunes, you can't use the cloud to copy them over.

Connect your old iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to your computer - that should copy epubs and/or PDFs that are in the iBooks app, not just ibooks bought from the iBookstore. If your computer is a Mac with Mavericks or Yosemite on it then do File > Move Books From iTunes in its iBooks app. If you then connect your new iPad Mini to your computer's iTunes the books should then show on its Books tabs for selecting and syncing to it.
