I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact configuration you are currently using. If you have a MacBook Air (Mid-2012) or newer and are using a Thunderbolt Display, you can connect two Thunderbolt displays as noted in the following article (Item 3 under Using the Apple Thunderbolt Display):
