iCloud Emails not coming through to Inbox?

I have my initial gmail email address I used to set up my apple id - all emails come through, can be sent to and send fine from this. I opted into creating an iCloud email address too, and no emails even though I know for definite have been sent to that address, are never received.

From your post I understand that you have not been receiving email from your iCloud account on your Mac. First I'd like you to login to icloud.com to verify there are emails that you should've received. If you confirm that emails have not been received, please follow the troubleshooting in the article linked to below.
