as repeated on this thread over and over there are currently no virus for non-jailbroken iOS devices.

stop going to the site that is facilitating this scam - All this is a pop up ad that will say anything it wants. It's not a warning generated by your browser, it's not a warning generated by iOS.

Congratulations. You did exactly what the scammers wanted you to do. lt of course claimed to remove something to make you believe it "works", and perpetuate the belief you need it. You don't. It did nothing. Well, it did do one thing. It told you a bald-faced lie.

If it's still running, close the app immediately. You have no idea what it's doing in the background. But you can bet it's not for your benefit. Double tap the home button, then slide that app up and off the screen. Then delete that piece of 100% garbage.

No, you didn't. As AKRBTN noted, your iCloud account got hacked, not your iPad. Typically, this is because of a weak password that was easily guessed or broken.

There are NO VIRUSES on iOS devices. A virus is a specific type of malware. The distinguishing feature is they self replicate by infecting other devices it can directly see, and then copy itself to. These do not exist in iOS. There has yet to be one in the Mac OS, either. Unix, which the Mac OS sits on top of, is extremely good at blocking this type of infection because of its purposely built design of permissions. A virus is almost impossible on either system because they can't write themselves wherever they want on a drive. The OS doesn't allow it.

MS has only very recently started trying to make Windows more like Unix. But it is still a huge, gaping Swiss Cheese security design. That is mostly due to large corporate users who insist that newer versions of Windows do not break decades old company proprietary software. In order for that software to function, the OS needs to be as virtually wide open to apps writing data anywhere they want as it was 20-30 years ago. MS needs to just tell these companies, TOUGH! We're locking the OS down. Update your ancient apps.

Okay, this had happened to me. I got the app, and it did remove the virus! I recommend getting it, but’s it’s your choice. The app did work, so I believe you should get it.

Hops this helped.

As there was no virus to remove, of course it removed it. But the app probably installed spyware to replace the non-existent virus.

To repeat what has been said before, in CAPS:

IOS CANNOT GET A VIRUS, PERIOD. UNLESS IT HAS BEEN JAILBROKEN, WHICH REQUIRES PHYSICAL POSSESSION OF THE PHONE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME.

I got something similar and I got SIX of them!

But don't worry they are fake to get you to worry and buy there things "to help" DONT PRESS THE LINK it could give you the virus. Apple has the best virus protection so I think SIX viruses would be hard to get in. Also the six virus I "got" said that it would delete my SIMs card but I am still here right? And mine said that I was visiting adult websites WHY WOULD DO THAT? (just pointing that out) here's a picture of mineUser uploaded file
