Syncing iPhone with Macook

I have a Macbook Air with 1.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 2 GB and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.2.

I reset my iCloud and Apple ID passwords and the security questions on my laptop and thought these changes would sync with my iPhone. This didn't happen. I have tried changing the iCloud and Apple Id's and passwords and the security questions to match my laptop, but it isn't allowing this.

Can anyone help?
