IPhone 6 Plus software problem

Iphone 6 plus locked on. Can not update software even in restore mode. Can anyone solve this problem On the screen is a white background with a black apple in the middle. If I push the off button nothing happens, when I hold down menu button and off button, I can connect to itunes, but it will not restore factory settings, keep getting an error message.
