software for Samsung SCX-4100 printer on MAC

Hi - if you just plug the USB straight into the mac, and then go to the Printer Settings (Apple > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners), it should be showing in the list down the left hand side. If not, go to the + in the bottom left and it will search for it. In my experience, the mac is very good and just working with printers, regardless of drivers. I've used very old and very new printers with mine and never had any issues. Please let me know if this works 🙂

Ok - I've looked at the Amazon listing which shows Linux compatibility. Can you try this website. It was written for OS X Tiger, but maybe the driver link they provide will work. Good luck!

Try the latest version of CUPS, its an official Apple software component and is available here: CUPS

I had the same problem, so from Printers & Scanners I clicked on the +

Then search the list for "Samsung scx". The list will not show scx-4100, so I installed "scx-4500 series" and my scx-4100 printer is so far working perfectly.

Hello. I had the same problem here, now solved.

I went to the samsung site, and downloaded scx-4200 drivers.

Then back to install the printer and then choosing scx-4300.
