Q: Air Play Mirror for iPad

Hi,

I have a new Apple TV with up to date software.

Two iPhone 5's up to date and and iPad 4th Gen and 2 iPad Air2's also up to date, all on the same network.

The iPhones will screen mirror but the iPads won't, they will air play photos and videos but no mirroring (no option available to turn it on when selecting air play to the apple tv).

Am I missing something ?

Any help appreciated.

This is a bit of a common issue. In your Apple TV settings, turn Airplay off and then on again. Strange, I know - but it works for me

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.

Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Do you have any idea why Apple TV only mirrowing the audio and not video from my IPAD Air?
