I love classic google maps on my iMac, however there seems to be no option on my iPad/iPhone for the "classic" version.
Does anyone know if this is available on the iPad/iPhone?

What are you referring to as "classic". There is a Google Maps app available in the App Store. That is all there is.
I'm not using the app, just google maps from safari.
On my iMac, you can switch back to the classic view option and keep that in that format.
But on an iOS device, there is no option for the classic view, at least I can't find it.
HHi. I have never heard of a classic option... i use google maps loads! Maybe just explore to see if you can find the option? That's what I would do. Keep in mind - iPad and macs have different ways of operating. Apps can be different on different devices. But good luck! 🙂 😉
How do you choose classic view ? The new request desktop feature should show it but I can't find classic view. Go to google maps, once there tap the URL field, pull Favorites down and tap request desktop site (first screenshot). That will give you the second screenshot.
No classc view.
Maybe if I ask specifically what I'm looking for it might be easier?
In classic view on my iMac, I can do multiple destinations for directions. But on my iOS device, I can't switch back to classic view like i did on my iMac. I believe the iOS version doesn't support the classic view and hence no way to get multiple destinations.

Unfortunately I can't see your map but using the request desktop site I was able to do the map below. Is this what you're looking for ?
I think I found what you want. Go to google maps and tap the tiny icon in the lower right corner, then you can get multiple points on a map. No need to use the request desktop feature at all. Then type in the locations.
bobseufert, thanks for the screen shots. I see the same thing you do, however I want to create multiple locations, not just point to point. When you tap on that icon you pointed out, it only allows point to point. The desktop, classic version, allows you to use as many points as you'd like.
For example, I want to create a map/directions for this:
NYC to Washington DC to Pittsburgh to Albany for example. I can not find a way to do that on the ipad/iphone?
You're welcome. I did it. You need to use the request desktop feature I mentioned above. After you get your first two points you can add a third by tapping the search field after the + sign. Then a fourth if need be.
Are you doing this on the mobile version? I am on my iphone and their is no option for that + sign?
I'm using the new request desktop feature in IOS 8 I descibed earlier. I couldn't find a way to do it on the mobile site.

You're welcome. Yes you need to update to IOS 8 if you want the request desktop feature. My apologies for assuming you had it already, it must have been fustrating looking for something that isn't there.
