Q: How do I rationalize my tags?

I need to rationalize my tags. Too many in fact.

1. How do I delete unused and unwanted tags from my list?

2. How do I rename existing tags currently in use?

Appreciated.

Hey Wanapitei,

Tags are a great way to organize your files on a Mac as it sounds like you have already noticed. Tags can be renamed or deleted from the available tags in > Finder > Preferences > Tags. See this article -

OS X: Tags help you organize your files - Apple Support

Specifically -
Give the tag a unique name that you can use to search or organize with later.
Click it to rename the tag
