Q: iTunes freezes after opening; "determining gapless playback"

I've recently updated iTunes to the latest version- 12.0.1 I believe. I had been using a very old version previously, I probably hadn't updated for a couple years.

Every time I have tried opening iTunes it freezes. It always says its "determining gapless playback". Most times it won't even let me open up task manager to shut it down. I've read other posts on how to turn off gapless playback by selecting all songs and going into info, but it won't even let me select one song at all. Doesn't even register the mouse is hovering a song.

I've deleted and re-installed iTunes and it hasn't solved the problem.
