Q: iphone 5 just showed a temperature warning

I have not used my phone but as I picked it up a temperature warning sign came on the screen and my phone was really hot. After switching it back on it's taken about 10% battery in the time it's taken to switch it back on and it does not show my wifi or signal. The phone was not charging when this happened and it took about an hour to start cooling down although it was switched off. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Nici Lou,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like your concerned because your iPhone displayed the temperature warning screen and may have entered a low power state.
